Post-Holiday Wrap-Up

I've now had my Dacor Epicure dual-fuel range for over two months, through all of the holidays. From Thanksgiving through New Year's, I cooked pastries, pies, breads, roasts, vegetables, muffins, and more in the oven. And I boiled, sauteed, grilled, fried, and steamed countless other dishes on the stove top. From a cooking point of view, this has been my best holiday season--every dish was a joy to prepare on my top-quality equipment.

Moreover, I've found the range incredibly easy to clean, so I've been able to keep it looking like new.

I love my Dacor range and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end kitchen appliance.

Unfortunately, I have not had the same experience with Dacor. I did for a while. However, when problems start, the nightmare that is Dacor customer service begins. I have started a blog about it, my first blog ever- http://lifeofthekitchen.blogspot.com

I'm sorry to hear that you've had trouble, but I can't see it as being endemic to Dacor. Through the web, I've conversed with a number of people who have Dacor appliances, including those who have had issues with them, and your "nightmare" seems to be relatively unique. Are you at the point where you still want a satisfactory resolution from them if you talk to the right person, or are you done with them?

I do not think I will ever talk to the right person. Dacor has a long history of horrible customer service. Search the net, look at the reviews. I think my only choice is to file a law suit. Keep an eye on my blog at http://dacorappliances.blogspot.com/ to see how this nightmare plays out. Oh, also, the raised vent Dacor sells is a complete waste of money. It does not pull from farther than 4 inches from the vent opening and I have the biggest blower they make. The range is great but their raised vent system and customer service are horrible.
